Campus Tracking System (CTS)

Document Solutions utilizes a Campus Tracking System (CTS) for incoming U.S. Postal Services (USPS) packages or parcels received by UT Mail Services at its 78712 ZIP code location and for packages received by Campus Distribution Services.

Track your package

CTS is designed to track the ongoing status of barcoded packages or parcels:

  • Provides chain-of-custody information.
  • Tracks incoming U.S. Postal Service (USPS) barcoded packages received by UT Mail Services, including Priority Mail, Express Mail, Amazon, Media Mail, First-Class Parcel Service, UPS Surepost, FedEx Smartpost. Offers easy access to package tracking information on the USPS website.
  • Tracks incoming purchase order and UT Market deliveries (via Campus Distribution Services) by P.O. Number or shipping vendor tracking number.
  • Tracks Document Solutions jobs out for delivery on campus.

How to track your package

Departmental customers can track packages by entering one of the following on the Campus Tracking System site

  • USPS tracking number,
  • UT Market P.O. number,
  • shipping vendor tracking code, or
  • Document Solutions job number.

The search box will scan for records across both the Mail Services and Campus Distribution Services.

While most customers do not need it, advanced search options allow customers to search by name or department as well to get a status update for their packages. Customers who need frequent and regular access to this information may request a login and password to access advanced CTS tracking and pick-up request system.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What will I be able to track?

USPS: The tracking system will track all U.S. Postal Services (USPS) parcels and packages that have a tracking barcode. That includes Priority Mail, Express Mail, Amazon, Media Mail, First-Class Parcel Service, UPS Surepost, and FedEx Smartpost.

UT Market: Tracks incoming purchase order and UT Market deliveries (via Campus Distribution Services) by P.O. Number or shipping vendor tracking number.

Print jobs out for delivery: Tracks Document Solutions jobs out for delivery on campus.

How will I be able to track my packages?

Your USPS packages can be tracked on the USPS website or via the CTS site.

What are the definitions for each of the CTS status updates for USPS barcoded items?*

*For status update definitions on UT Market orders, please refer to Campus Distribution Services FAQs.

Received By Agent: UT Mail Services has received the package from the USPS. The package still needs to be sorted, loaded and delivered.

Notified Recipient: Your package has been received, sorted, and loaded onto a UT Mail Services van for delivery. Each business day, UT Mail Services delivers all USPS letter mail, parcels and packages to campus buildings between 1-3 p.m. On the CTS webpage, this scan will show up as IN-TRANSIT.

Delivered By Agent: Your package has been delivered to your designated delivery point, e.g., your respective building’s dropbox, receptionist, etc.

Hold: We have received the package, but do not have enough delivery information to make a delivery attempt. Each package should have the recipient’s name, department name, Campus Mail Code and building address. Please call UT Mail Services – 512-471-3670 – with any additional information for package deliveries.

Re-Sorted: The package was returned to UT Mail Services after the initial delivery. It was re-sorted to another department and has been staged for delivery.

Will I have to sign for my packages?

Most of the time you will not be asked to sign for USPS packages. UT Mail Services delivers packages to one central point in each building. Each of those locations will have a Delivery Barcode. Every time a UT Mail Services employee delivers packages to that location in your building, he/she will scan the Location Barcode. For example: The DELIVERED scan you see online at USPS.com will provide the details related to date and time that UT Mail Services delivered your package to the mailbox in your building.
